                                                       VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Festival Coordinators 
This job entails helping coordinate volunteer efforts at the festival including change in shifts. Interface with committee heads for any problems, generally helping volunteer work run smoothly. In addition to the time commitment at the festival this position involves meeting once before the festival to go over the various events, activities and volunteer positions at the festival.
 
Food & Drink Volunteers  Job entails pouring drinks, cutting up or putting out food samples (like energy, granola bars)

Safety Volunteers
- help with crossing (of kids especially) at St.Johns Ave. (some part of festival are on west side of street, some are on east side) May also assist with parking queries.

First Aid & Information  One person on the team needs to be someone with first aid training.  (For any serious problems, we have paramedics just over the tracks - a block or so away.) Volunteer will also be given map, schedules and cell phone numbers to committee heads. (Second information booth worker to serve as 'floater' as needed.) 

Train Station Volunteers   Help with programs at train station where lectures are being given. Assist speakers as needed. Help alert those using washrooms of programs in session to help manage noise levels. 

Game and Crafts
These volunteers assist game leaders as needed in parachute games for PJ in Pajamas game.  For “Tattoos for Trash” Give kids (press on) tattoos and help kids (and adults) identify appropriate bins for compostables / recyclables / refuse. (Volunteers will be given briefing and 'cheat sheets' ). 

Raffle Ticket Volunteers  These volunteers determine if raffle participant are eligible for 1 or 2 tickets based on game rules. (Did they arrive motor-less?) Give out raffle tickets and mark hands.

Refuse Station Volunteers  These volunteers will (with help of cheat sheets as necessary)  help festival attendees determine correct receptacle in which to dispose of recyclable, compost and trash items.
 
Clean up Volunteers- Help pick up grounds after festival.
